ALBANIA – BUTRINTI

About this tour

On this daily cruise- excursion to Albania, you’re offered the chance to visit “the land of eagles” which is yet virgin and unexplored.

Meeting point the New Port of Corfu, at the passenger station, for the necessary passport control. Leaving behind the island of Corfu and following the Albanian coastline, the ship enters, in short time, the port of Saranda.

On arrival, the most adventurous and active of you will have the opportunity to participate in an optional excursion by coach that is organized by our company. At the archeological site of Butrinti you will be accompanied by a local tour guide and you’re going to find out a lot of the panoramic view from Lekuresi castle that is situated at the top of a hill. When the guided tour ends, the beautiful region of Karahaxh awaits for you.

There, you’re going to taste delicious dishes from a rich buffet of a traditional restaureant located in the middle of an oasis of plane trees.

Return to the town of Saranda, where there is time for wandering through it, before the departure of the ship for Corfu.

With busses and guides (English, German, French) we head for the archeological center of Saranda, Butrindi (35 minutes trip). The guiding tour in the archeological area lasts for about one hour and a half (on foot).

We leave Butrinti and after 20 minutes we arrive at the restaurant in Karahaxh village for lunch (buffet) ,where we stay for about an hour.

After lunch we return back to Saranda, where you have an hour free to stroll around the town, with or without the guide.
